For 2025, the Flower Show is looking ahead with the theme Gardens of Tomorrow. As always, the nation’s largest and longest-running garden show delivers an incredible mix of lavish exhibits, inspiring and educational displays, impressive plant competitions, hands-on DIY events, and tempting shopping. There’s truly something for everyone.

Philadelphia Flower Show 2025: Dates, Location & What to Know
The 196th PHS Philadelphia Flower Show takes place from March 1 through March 9, 2025, at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia. This year’s theme, Gardens of Tomorrow, envisions the future of horticulture through artistic and innovative designs.
The show is not just a highlight in Philadelphia but an internationally recognized event, attracting designers and exhibitors from around the world.
This year, there are 15 major exhibits—seven floral and eight landscape. Additionally, eight exhibits from schools, including W.B. Saul High School of Agricultural Sciences and the University of Delaware, showcase the next generation of horticultural talent. Visitors can also explore the Hamilton Horticourt, where gardeners compete with their best plants in dozens upon dozens of categories, and the Design Gallery, featuring competitions in pocket gardens, entryways, pressed plants, and more.
Must-See Highlights & Best Exhibits at This Year’s Flower Show
The PHS Entrance Garden and the major displays always steal the show. This year, the theme is brought to life with black lights, futuristic landscapes, and bold, bright floral colors, delivering messages of hope and resilience.
While aspirational home landscape designs were once a major component of the Flower Show, this year’s event veers more toward artistic interpretations of the theme.
“Tomorrow’s Eden” by Ishihara Kazuyuki Design Lab with Treeline Designz is undoubtedly a standout. While many exhibits lean into bold, vivid hues, this garden embraces tranquility. A Japanese tea room nestles within a magical forest setting, surrounded by lush evergreens and a misty, bubbling bog. Inspired by nature’s ability to adapt to challenges like climate change, it’s a serene and thought-provoking display.
Another highlight is the collaboration between PLANTPOP and Ekodome with a pair of geodesic domes. One serves as a dreamy greenhouse while in the other visitors can watch gorgeous time-lapse videos of various plants, adding a unique visual and educational element to the show. I thought the videos were magical to watch.
And, of course, the entrance garden always impresses. This year, PHS has reimagined its layout, setting the garden further inside the convention center to create more space. Visitors are welcomed by 21 white Okami cherry trees amid a meadow of flowers accented by bursts of allium—a breathtaking introduction to the show.

The Philadelphia Flower Show is one of the city’s most beloved annual events, and with these stunning exhibits and mild weather in the forecast, I expect a busy week ahead!
- To avoid crowds, consider visiting on a weekday evening with the Twilight Ticket (valid from 4–8 PM).
- For those who live or work in the city, the Floral Fanatic Pass—new for 2025—offers unlimited daily access throughout the week. It’s perfect for quick visits after work or during lunch breaks!
- Early risers can take advantage of early morning tours, which allow entry before the show opens to the public.
How to Get to the Philadelphia Flower Show: Parking & Public Transit Guide
Public transit is one of the easiest ways to reach the show. The Pennsylvania Convention Center is conveniently attached to Jefferson Station.
For those driving, multiple parking garages are available nearby, though rates vary. Arriving early or reserving a spot in advance can help avoid parking headaches.
Best Activities, Workshops & Family Fun at the 2025 Flower Show
The Flower Show is packed with activities and workshops. Visitors can enjoy educational sessions throughout the day and participate in DIY crafts like make-and-take flower crowns, terrariums, and more.
A fan favorite, Butterflies Live!, returns for another year, offering visitors the chance to step inside a tent filled with butterflies (for an additional fee).
This truly is an event for the whole family. Even the youngest garden enthusiasts can get hands-on at The Kids Cocoon, where interactive activities—including a new one from The Franklin Institute—keep little ones entertained.
Is the Philadelphia Flower Show 2025 Worth It? My Review & Impressions
The Philadelphia Flower Show 2025 was a joy to experience. Each year, PHS continues to refine and improve the event, and this year’s layout truly allows visitors to enjoy the plants rather than just navigating crowds.
One of my favorite aspects is returning each year to see familiar plants in competition while discovering new, creative displays—from botanical arts to window arrangements. It’s an inspiring way to welcome spring and dream up ideas for your own garden. I know I can’t wait to dig into mine!
